Storyteller Tips
- This is a madness-themed script. Review the Madness Philosophy and be a madness hawk.
- Put a Spryte in play one in every four games as if it were one of the main Demon types.
- Warn the players at the beginning of the game that most Sprytes will want to hide within the town.
- The Spryte can be evil-turned.
- If you show the Pixie the Spryte & the Pixie gains the Spryte ability when the Spryte dies, the game will continue as the Pixie now "is the Demon".
- The Brownie can turn evil via Bounty Hunter because it is a setup ability.
- Remember that Her Majesty's ability should work especially well for their own team.
- Always execute Her Majesty if they break their own madness, unless it would automatically win the game for their own team.
- If an evil player breaks a good Her Majesty's madness, you should probably execute them.
- If a good player breaks an evil Her Majesty's madness, you should probably execute them. Even the Spryte.
- Have the Daredevil kill a Townsfolk when the Princess stops the Demon from killing.
- If the Golem nominates the Brownie while they have their ability, the Brownie does not die, but loses their ability.
- The Brownie is safe from the Nymph ability: if the Brownie with an active ability attempts to save the Nymph, the Nymph dies.
- The Clown's ability can either simulate different madnesses, or simulate everyone having the same madness. The latter is better near the beginning of the game.
- An Alchemist Clown can cause the evil team to be Actor, Harpy, or Cerenovus mad. For the other two, they will assume the Alchemist has the Harpy or Cerenovus ability.
- Harpy/Actor/Daredevil/Gremlin kills can be timed to appear as Golem or Witch kills.
- The Swiper (an Alchemist Swiper) can copy the Spryte, and they now "are the Demon". The Spryte's team does not lose until all Demons are dead.
- The Swiper cannot poison the Brownie or gain the Brownie ability while the Brownie has their ability.
- The Morbrigan has a variety of interactions:
- The Pixie cannot gain an ability.
- The Actor(or Pixie) madness is blocked on the target player.
- The Spryte(or Pixie) cannot hide from Minions or vice versa on the target player & they cannot kill themselves.
- The Brownie(or Pixie) cannot lose their ability.
- Her Majesty(or Pixie) cannot execute the target player.
- Golem cannot kill themselves.
- Mutant cannot execute themselves.
- The Daredevil cannot kill.
- Nymph cannot lose the game.
- The Clown(or Alchemist) muddling is blocked on the target player.
- The Harpy(or Alchemist) madness is blocked on the first player.
- The Witch(or Alchemist) cannot kill themselves.
- The Cerenovus(or Alchemist) madness is blocked on the target player.
- The Swiper(or Alchemist) cannot gain a new ability & cannot poison themselves.
- The Vigormortis cannot kill themsevles.
- The Pika-Pika madness is blocked on the first player & they cannot kill themselves.
- His Highness will not be able to confirm they are sane until night, but then can out themselves.
- The Gnome cannot kill themselves.
Change Notes
8.0.1- Update json to mark the Brownie character token with the setup symbol.
- Removed the +1 Outsider from the Spryte & add +0 or +1 Outsider to the Brownie.
- The +1 Outsider on the Spryte was too much information for the Spryte & the town. It was harder for evil to bluff.
- A positive Outsider mod was still required for the Cerenovus & Clown.
- the Brownie has had more power added several times, and can stand a small nerf.
- Replaced the Tinker with the Showboat.
- The Showboat is mechanically themed, but not setting themed.
- The Showboat allows more ambiguity for Actor, Golem, Harpy, & Witch deaths.
- Changed wording of the Brownie to allow Golem protection.
- Updated json to add send custom Nymph night card.
- Changed wording of the Spryte ability for clarity.
- Updated json to add edition information.
- Renamed the Faerie to the Spryte.
- Changed the ability of the Spryte.
- The game continues until all players with the Spryte ability are dead, or there are two players left alive.
- Default win conditions swap if the Spryte is good.
- The Spryte now adds an Outsider.
- The Spryte now interacts with more characters.
- Actor update.
- Reduced the text length of the Nymph ability.
- Renamed the His Highness Townsfolk to the Brownie.
- Changed the ability of the Brownie to only affect other abilities.
- Replaced the Thief and Bureaucrat with His Highness, the Morbrigan, and the Gremlin.
- Updated json to new image urls.
- Updated json to match new night order.
- Updated json to remove logo.
- SAO update.
- Updated json to match new night order.
- Replaced Drunk with the Tinker.
- The Tinker can fake a Princess failure.
- Droisoning doesn't fit the theme of the script, except when stolen by the Imposter.

- Updated json to correct quotation marks.
- Actor, Clown, Swiper, and Pika-Pika updates.

- Changed the night order position and instructions for the Clown so players that are not mad are woken at the appropriate time.
- Changed the night order position of the Pika-Pika to be last of the Demons.
- Replaced the Juggler with the Princess.
- Both provide first day information, and the Princess belongs at court more than the Juggler.
- Renamed Her Highness to Nymph, now a homebrew character.
- The Princess was released, changing the ability drastically.
- Tweaked the wording of Her Highness.
- Replaced Damsel with Golem.
- Having both Her Highness and Damsel on the script was too bad for town.
- Golem ability can be replicated by a Harpy madness death.
- Replaced Huntsman with Actor secret character.
- With Damsel out, the Hunstman must be removed.
- Actor fits the madness theme, and allows for flexibility. It interacts well with Alchemist Clown.
- Replaced Goblin with Swiper secret character.
- Goblin fits the theme, but not script mechanics. The Faerie can kill the outed Goblin.
- Swiper fits the madness theme, and can poison a Faerie.
- Replaced Pukka with Pika-Pika secret character.
- Pukka didn't work well mechanically. There are no Townsfolk that can survive death, and a Pukka poisoned Banshee can be a bad experience.
- Pika-Pika fits the madness theme.
- Updated json to show Almanac link.
- Updated json to show Bootlegger notes.
- Updated json to add a background image.
- Updated json to hide the title over the logo.
- Removed Deus Ex Fiasco Fabled from public script.
- It's not required to use the script: it's more of a personal/global Fabled. I will continue to use it personally.
- Customized night order to move King after Lil' Monsta.
- Updated json to correct night order after an official app modification to default night orders.
- Replaced Moonchild with Her Highness secret character.
- Moonchild easily confirms a good player.

- On Her Highness and Lil' Monsta games, the Knight felt useless.

- Updated json to add flavor text for all homebrew characters.
- Added Faerie homebrew character.
- Added Her Majesty and Clown secret characters.
- Added Huntsman Bootleg: The Huntsman acts each night* instead of once per game.
