Beware the intrigue and madness corrupting the… Elven Court.

Gameplay

Elven Court beguiles the mind with a majestic setting of fantastical intrigue. Madness runs rampant amongst the fae. Mistakes are punished severely in this contest of sophisticated innuendo and subterfuge.

Storyteller Tips

  • This is a madness-themed script. Review the Madness Philosophy and be a madness hawk.
  • Put a Faerie in play one in every four games as if it were one of the main Demon types.
  • Warn the players at the beginning of the game that most Faeries will want to hide within the town.
  • The Faerie can be evil-turned.
  • If you show the Pixie the Faerie, the Pixie can confirm the Faerie is in play, but the Pixie will likely never gain the Faerie ability.
  • Yes but don't turn the Prince evil via Bounty Hunter. As a setup ability, the Prince's protection from evil has no effect. It can work in a Faerie setup, it's non-intuitive for all players.
  • Remember that Her Majesty's ability should work especially well for their own team.
    • Always execute Her Majesty if they break their own madness, unless it would automatically win the game for their own team.
    • If an evil player breaks a good Her Majesty's madness, you should probably execute them.
    • If a good player breaks an evil Her Majesty's madness, you should probably execute them. Even the Faerie.
  • Kill the Tinker when the Princess stops the Demon from killing.
  • The Golem can kill the Prince.
  • The Prince is safe from the Nymph ability: if the Prince with an active ability attempts to save the Nymph, the Nymph dies.
  • The Clown's ability can either simulate different madnesses, or simulate everyone having the same madness. The latter is better near the beginning of the game.
  • An Alchemist Clown can cause the evil team to be Actor mad.
  • Harpy/Actor kills can be timed to appear as Golem or Witch kills.
  • The Swiper can copy the Faerie, but they risk losing for their team while they are doing so. If the last two players are the Swiper with the Faerie ability and the poisoned Faerie, good wins because they are tied.
  • The Swiper cannot poison the Prince or gain the Prince ability while the Prince has their ability.

  • Changed the night order position of the Pika-Pika to be last of the Demons.
4.0.0
  • Replaced the Juggler with the Princess.
    • Both provide first day information, and the Princess belongs at court more than the Juggler.
  • Renamed Her Highness to Nymph, now a homebrew character.
    • The Princess was released, changing the ability drastically.
3.0.1
  • Tweaked the wording of Her Highness.
3.0.0
  • Replaced Damsel with Golem.
    • Having both Her Highness and Damsel on the script was too bad for town.
    • Golem ability can be replicated by a Harpy madness death.
  • Replaced Huntsman with Actor secret character.
    • With Damsel out, the Hunstman must be removed.
    • Actor fits the madness theme, and allows for flexibility. It interacts well with Alchemist Clown.
  • Replaced Goblin with Swiper secret character.
    • Goblin fits the theme, but not script mechanics. The Faerie can kill the outed Goblin.
    • Swiper fits the madness theme, and can poison a Faerie.
  • Replaced Pukka with Pika-Pika secret character.
    • Pukka didn't work well mechanically. There are no Townsfolk that can survive death, and a Pukka poisoned Banshee can be a bad experience.
    • Pika-Pika fits the madness theme.

  • Customized night order to move King after Lil' Monsta.
  • Updated json to correct night order after an official app modification to default night orders.
2.0.0
  • Replaced Moonchild with Her Highness secret character.
    • Moonchild easily confirms a good player.
    • Her Highness is memorable.
  • Replaced Knight with Courtier.
    • On Her Highness and Lil' Monsta games, the Knight felt useless.
  • Added Deus Ex Fiasco Fabled.
  • Updated json to add flavor text for all homebrew characters.
1.0.0
  • Added Faerie homebrew character.
  • Added Her Majesty and Clown secret characters.
  • Added Huntsman Bootleg: The Huntsman acts each night* instead of once per game.
