Summary

"Each night, a good player and an evil player are each mad about something tommorrow, or they might die."

The Actor tries to kill the evil team with madness, but might get their own team killed as well.

  • Any good and evil player are told by the Storyteller what they should be mad about. They both must try to convince the group of their madness tomorrow, or else die.
  • The madness can be anything the Storyteller can think of for both the good and evil player.
  • The Storyteller can choose any good or evil player each night, alive or dead.
  • Simply hinting is not enough to avoid death. The player must make a decent effort to convince the group. Mad players are never literally forced to say things they don’t want to—but if the Storyteller doesn’t hear them make an effort, they pay the price.

Dead players can be Actor mad, but cannot die.

How to Run

Each night, write something a good player should be mad about on a piece of paper or on a phone or other device. Wake the good player, show them the THIS CHARACTER SELECTED YOU info token, then the Actor token, then the written madness, then put them to sleep. Mark them as MAD.

Avoid giving the good player madness that causes correct information to help the good team unless that team is significantly losing.

Avoid giving the evil player madness that causes misinformation to help the evil team unless that team is significantly losing.

Examples

The Actor is made mad that Her Majesty is in play. The Actor says Her Majesty is not in play and dies to their own ability.

The Witch is made mad by the Actor that their Demon is a Clown. They say nothing during the day and die.

Explanation

This character was modified from it's original ability: "Each day, a good player and an evil player are each 'mad' about something, or they might die."
