Summary
"Each night*, choose a player: if Townsfolk, they become a different good character; if Minion, they die."
The Hagy Bagy causes chaos in the good team until its time to sacrifice themselves for evil.
- The Hagy Bagy does not control what characters their Townsfolk targets turn into.
- The Hagy Bagy has no effect on Outsiders or Demons.
- The Hagy Bagy can kill themselves or another Minion.
The Hagy Bagy can create duplicate characters. Storytellers that choose to do this may need to use placeholder character tokens.
How to Run
Each night except the first, wake the Hagy Bagy. They point at any player. Put the Hagy Bagy to sleep.
If the chosen player is a Townsfolk, wake the chosen player. Show them the YOU ARE info token, then their new character token, then put them to sleep. Replace their old character token with the new character token.
If the chosen player is a Minion, that player dies— mark them with the DEAD reminder.
The Hagy Bagy ability works whether that player is good or evil.
Tips & Tricks
- Spread chaos whenever you can. The Storyteller is likely to turn Townsfolk into Outsiders, so you should rarely pick the same player twice.
- Hide your ability from the good team until the right chance to strike. You can pick the Demon to make it look like there is no Hagy Bagy in play.
- Use your ability to kill yourself to back up a bluff. You could pretend to be Gambler, Acrobat, or Tinker. You can also back up another evil player's Lucky Cat or Macho Man bluff.
- As the player count gets lower, you may have the opportunity to kill yourself or another evil Minion to bring the game to a much swifter end than the good team anticipated.
Fighting the Hagy Bagy
- You can't really avoid being transformed at night; if you change characters, make sure to let the other good players know so they can plan for the number of deaths in the night.
- If you think there is a Hagy Bagy in play, you might consider not skipping an execution. This may be your last chance to get the Demon.
- Beware of turning into the Goon. You might be joining the evil team soon!
