Summary

"On your 1st night, choose 1 alive good player for each alive evil player (not including Travellers). If all chosen players are dead, evil wins."

The Bezzerit sets their sights on specific good players, ending the game before the good team can solve the puzzle.

The Bezzerit does not kill players at night.

If the Bezzerit is drunk or poisoned when the last chosen player dies, the game continues until they have their ability back.

How to Run

During the first night, wake the Bezzerit. The Bezzerit points at a number of good players equal to the number of alive evil players. (Usually 1 for each Demon and Minion.) Mark them with the CHOSEN reminder.

If all CHOSEN players are dead, the evil team wins.

Be careful using the Bezzerit with Minions that can kill or create new evil players after the first night, as the game will quickly tilt towards evil.

Examples

The Bezzerit chooses 3 good players. They are the first three players executed and evil wins.

The Bezzerit chooses 2 good players. One is executed early in the game, but the other survives. A different good player is executed on the final day. The evil team wins, because there are two players alive.

Tips & Tricks

  • Make sure to tell your Minions your chosen targets. They may be able to assist you in getting them executed.
  • Bluff as a character that can throw suspicion on others, such as the Investigator, Undertaker, or Driver.
  • Bluff as a character that can hide who you are, such as the Dogkeeper. Tell them you got a "No" on night 1, and spin yarns the rest of the game.
  • Bluff as a character with their own problems to solve, such as the Puzzlemaster or Illusionist.
  • Make sure to find out if a Chimneysweep is in play; if you suspect one is in play, get the neighbours of your targets executed instead.
  • Pretend to be a Boomdandy! The good team might let you live long enough to get your required kills.
  • Your ability is brought into effect before the game even begins. This means that you have absolutely no responsibility other than to stay alive. Relax and focus on your social game; after all, you've already setup everything you need for success. Even killing the wrong good players is still a small win for your team.

Fighting the Bezzerit

  • Watch out for players trying to get someone specific executed; they may be trying to fulfill the Bezzerit's master plan.
  • Look for clues that the Bezzerit is in play, such as the Dogkeeper only getting a number on the first night or the Illusionist not changing abilities at night.
  • If you believe this is a Bezzerit game, great. You know you can trust your information and can focus on finding the Demon.
