"It's an older Djinn rule sir, but it checks out."

Summary

"This script uses out-of-date characters or jinxes."

Add the Grognard to use a Blood on the Clocktower ruleset from an earlier date.

  • The Grognard allows Storytellers to use out-of-date characters or jinxes.
  • If there are out-of-date characters on the character sheet, or out-of-date jinxes in effect, the Storyteller tells all players what they are before play begins.
  • The Grognard allows for multiple characters or jinxes to be in effect at once.
  • As long as there is at least one out-of-date character on the current script, this Loric will be in play and can only be removed by switching to a script that does not contain any out-of-date characters.

How to Run

At the start of the game, if there are out-of-date characters on the character sheet or you are running out-of-date jinxes, declare that the Grognard is in play and inform the group of all the out-of-date characters and/or jinxes you are using in this game.

Examples

The character sheet contains the original Lycanthrope. The Storyteller announces the Grognard is in play and then explains how the old Lycanthrope works.
